Disclaimer

This page states, in plain terms, what Maket is and is not, and where our responsibility ends.

Software only - not a telephony service

We do not provide SMS/voice APIs or telephony services. Maket is a software platform only - a self-hosted skeleton/framework that you connect to your own third-party API provider (e.g. Twilio).

1. What Maket is

Maket is a self-hosted software codebase that you deploy on your own infrastructure. It provides a user interface and application logic for sending SMS, managing contacts and campaigns, running a two-way inbox, placing calls, and viewing logs - all by making calls to a third-party communications provider's API using credentials that you supply.

2. What Maket is not

  • We are not a telecommunications carrier.
  • We are not a reseller of SMS or voice minutes.
  • We do not operate the infrastructure that actually sends your messages or connects your calls - Twilio (or your chosen compatible provider) does.
  • We are not in the message or call delivery path, and we do not process, store, or have access to the content of your SMS conversations or call recordings once your platform is deployed.

3. No liability for delivery, cost, or compliance

We are not liable for message or call delivery failures, carrier fees, Twilio account costs, downtime of your Twilio account or ours, or regulatory and compliance issues - including but not limited to TCPA compliance and A2P 10DLC registration - arising from your use of your own Twilio account in connection with the Software.

All of the following are entirely your responsibility as the operator of your Maket deployment:

  • Creating, funding, and securing your own Twilio account
  • Registering for A2P 10DLC or any other carrier-required program applicable to your traffic
  • Complying with TCPA, CAN-SPAM, GDPR, or any other law applicable to your messaging and calling activity
  • Obtaining consent from message and call recipients as required by law
  • Any costs, overages, or billing disputes with Twilio

4. No guarantee of uptime or support

Unless separately agreed in writing (for example, in a support or maintenance agreement), we do not guarantee any specific uptime, availability, or support response time for the Software. Availability of your deployment depends on your own hosting and infrastructure choices; availability of message and call delivery depends on Twilio's infrastructure, not ours.

5. Trademark notice

"Twilio" is a trademark of Twilio Inc. Maket is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Twilio. References to Twilio on this website are solely to describe compatibility and integration, not to claim any partnership or endorsement.
